HPV warts are the results of the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), which is caught through sexual relations. There is at present no cure for this virus and once you have the virus you have got it for ever. The symptoms of the virus will be dealt with though.
Sadly, it can be terribly difficult to know if you have got contracted the virus as a heap of folks who have it show no symptoms at all. Where symptoms do occur they come in the shape of warts, which will seem around the genitals and anus, and sometimes in the mouth.
What will begin out as little warts will often grow in a cauliflower like cluster and grow to be quite sizeable. Their size may grow to the point that they can cause an obstruction inside the vagina that will make delivery of a baby tough in pregnant women.
Pregnancy can be a significantly tough time for women infected with HPV as the body’s immune system is not as strong throughout pregnancy and is less in a position to ward off the HPV virus that causes vaginal warts.
There are varied treatments available for dealing with female genital warts, though as previously noted, there is no cure for the HPV virus, so all treatments just deal with the symptoms.
Creams and solutions are obtainable from your doctor, although it is likely that they may need to be appied by the doctor and are often not appropriate for internal application, as well as not being suitable throughout pregnancy.
Alternative treatments come with cryotherapy treatment, where the wart if frozen off by using liquid nitrogen. Repeated treatments are sometimes necessary. There is even laser treatment, where the wart is burnt off, but this tends to be reserved for tough to get rid of warts that have resisted alternative treatments.
Electrocautery (where an electrical current is applied) is on occasion used to burn off the warts. Surgery is sometimes even used to cut off the warts, but for this the patient wants to be under anesthetic.
For those who are squeemish, simply embarrassed, or simply want to retain some dignity, there is even Wartrol, which contains safe and naturally occurring ingredients.
While a number of the other treatments, such as freezing or burning off the warts, or laser treatment, may produce fast results, the warts can still come back again. A treatment such as Wartrol is intended to work along with your body’s own immune system, and as such will not produce the ‘instant’ results similar to alternative, more extreme treatments. It is however, something that can be used on an ongoing basis, not only to eliminate your vaginal warts, but also to keep them from coming back on a long term basis. This treatment has no reported side effects and has proven safe to use in all situations.
